Thursday March 22nd (aka It's Not My Job To Educate Management)

Morning! |waves|

As most of you know, The Bitch is a Customer Service Rep for a home/auto insurance company. On a daily basis, she deals with all that corporate bullshit I left behind almost 20 years ago. Yesterday, she had one of those moments where your superior asks you a question about company procedure & your 1st thought is "Aren't you the boss? Shouldn't YOU know?". It always reminds me of back when I was promoted from Office Clerk to Dock Supervisor at the trucking company I was working for. I had ZERO experience & it was all very new to me, so I asked one of my dockmen how something was done. He replied: "It's not my job to educate Management." He was fucking with me, but that statement is just so fucking true. It may be my favorite quote of all time |thumb

Anyway, I'm only awake because one of our dogs had a coughing/hacking fit in bed |angry| I was half asleep when he started & for a couple of minutes, I kinda incorporated the noise into the dream I was having |crazy| I got him some water & he's fine & sleeping like a log. Of course, now I'm wide awake |pokefun||greenguy|

I do have to run to the store for my mom because I apparently bought the wrong kind of kitty litter |banghead| I always assumed this was a good brand:

Morning

2 years ago I had to make the decision to pull life support on my father. Something I hope my wife and/or kids do not have to make. So for myself and them, I hope I go like my fathers father and his brother with one big heart attack. Even thou my father and I had many discussions about pulling the plug it still was and is harder than I thought it would be.

So for today, take a moment and call your parents just to say hello while you still can!

Enough of that downer shit, today I have a bunch of stuff to do before wife has surgery tomorrow.

Speaking of that, we have to be at the hospital at 5:30am|banghead|
The only good news is that after the first surgery it was highly recommended by her first surgeon for my wife to stay in the hospital again over night and the insurance approved it. This actually saves us money as we a plan that covers the inpatient deductible versus outpatient so that's another $5000 in savings|thumb

Enjoy your Thursday, Friday & Weekend!

Last day in St Louis.
I've had a blast here, and the Midwest has shown itself as a really nice place.
Except for the black woman yelling at me, for no reason at all, at a gas station, I've only met nice, warm people.
(Yea, and one dude in the reception. Grumpy bastard)

Wifi however, has been a disaster.
I've had a few hours free for core updates on my pages each night, but wifi made it impossible.

Even made my way over the Missisippi into Illinois, stumbled over a strip club and got to see some nice boobies. Some prison guards didn't exactly like me taking pictures in the area as well, but whatever.
After a few minutes of grumpyness, a huge black dude, apparently a supervisor of some sort, came over and said "he's free to take picture of whatever he wants" and that's the end to that story.

Looking forward to get home though.

Nice country you have, will sure go back later.
