Google Tells The Truth

If anyone has any doubt that the info that Greenguy and Jim posted has been fabricated, then please compare it to Google's cached version of it.

Google's Cache of the Member List

You will see that the two lists are more or less the same, as they were probably captured on different days.

If there is anyone who wants to discredit the info above, then I'd like to see it done.

Google must have hit an unauthorized Ugandan mirror server and injected false info!

swedguy 2005-02-09 12:40 PM

IT'S ALL A SET UP.... IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

You evil, evil people. Now you even made a fake member list version set up on some other domain and to show the sponsorchat URL you used the new exploit for FireFox and hacked it in to IE too. Evil haxxors!

:D

Ok :) ... apart from unauthorized Ugandan mirror servers injecting user names into Google's cache...
is there anyone who wants to discredit the info above?

swedguy 2005-02-09 12:54 PM

There's nothing to argue about that find. It's pretty clear what it is, and there's NO way it can be false :)

Jim 2005-02-09 12:57 PM

Google and Boardtracker lies :)

Greenguy 2005-02-09 01:05 PM

And Alexa is off it's fucking rocker!

So if that data can be treated as genuine, then the next step is to consider the likelyhood of someone registering a user name like "85724523764".

AND then a few thousand other people register similar purely numbered or random keystroked user names.

How likely is that?

Can anyone provide a legitmate reason why this board should have developed these user names on its database?

Anyone with half a brain knows exactly what happened. I know it is killing you that the people over there seem blind to it but, what can you do. You give them the truth and it is up to them to make up their own minds.

In Uganda, they use special characters not represented in many if the ISO character sets. Since many families share phones, they are appending numbers and letters to their international phone numbers so that they can identify themselves.

One Ugandan is already in jail for using international characters in his nickname -- his family name was w********mu.com. Note the curious similarity to wamu.com.

mmmm can you delete me "angelmaries" there hwaahhhh

the bitch-er has 7000 members there and only about 10 people are posting? i spend 24/7 posting when theres 7000 more people who should have been there with me during those lonely days and nights that im posting alone |pokefun|

Misrepresenting you membership and site activity levels to potential sponsors is effectively fraud. Advertisers pay on the the number of eyeballs likely to see their advertising (and possibly click over to their sites) and if the numbers are pumped up, well, they are paying for nothing.

7000 members would make this one of the top adult webmaster sites. You can easily understand that, if the real number is more like 700 or even only 70, then advertisers and other people buying on the representation of that member count is probably getting jacked.

Oh well!

Alex
