START DATE & DEADLINES
The season opener (game 1) begins on THURSDAY Sept. 8th with the Broncos hosting the Carolina Panthers. However, players have right up until the kickoff of the first game on the SUNDAY of each week to make their picks (Eastern Standard Time).
IF YOU MISS PICKING EARLY GAMES (Thursday, Saturday etc) you simply forfiet the points for those games but you can still get your picks in for the remaining games before the usual Sunday deadline. No picks will be entered after the Sunday deadlines.


**NOTE** NO NFL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Anyone, and we do mean ANYONE can win! NFL games are notoriously fickle events, and even the most seasoned pickers and gamblers have been burned by a last second field goal or "hail Mary" play. There have been people who made random picks in past years who have won prizes.

The problem with promotions like this is that webmasters come from the world over and you tend to alienate those that are not into American football (IE 95% of non American webmasters.

In that case you can make random picks with the random pick generator
For example Fonz (and his idea of football is kicking a round ball around the field and hope it bounces into a net :) )has won several times over the years doing nothing but random picks :)

You miss my point. It is not that they are unable to play, but that they will look at it and think "Fucking American football, don't understand that, so can't play that - let's see if we can find a sponsor that runs a pool on a sport I do understand."

Hey, in the early years I actually did some investigating before entering my picks and I won a few times. The last couple of years I did the random thingy, and won 1 or 2 weeks. :)
And yes, real football is played with the feet, not hands |couch|

You may be right for some, but in the now 12 years I've been running this pool (and in the many years before that playing in pools run by other programs and boards) I have yet to have anyone say they were 'alienated'. A large % of those who play the pool are from outside N America in fact. Would I like to see more? Of course. More and more join every year though.

Like others have said (and I've stated in the opening post) with the random picks button anyone, and I mean anyone, can play this. (and win this)
