In need of some good info!

Okay hello everyone and how are you doing?I was hoping to get pointed in the right direction for some good info. I am a newbie to the industry of course. About a year ago I tried my hand at a graphic design school and only lasted about three months and couldnt take it. Im not good with a structured school enviroment I like to go it at my own pace. Its allways too fast or too slow. Anyways, my point is that I still would like to learn to be a good web designer. I am good at picking up and learning things on my own. I have so far taught myself basic to intermediate HTML and have a good grasp on Photoshop. I need to be guided however, with where else I can go to polish my skills. Like what else do I need to know? Where can I go to learn it without having to buy a trillion books on it or go to school for it? I am intrested on how to make nice graphics and how to properly integrate them into a website. Do I do it all in photoshop? Or do I make each graphic seperate and use HTML to format it all? Basically it would be nice to have a tutorial for an aspiring designer that doesnt want to go to school, but is very dedicated in learning to make well rounded professional web pages. Ive learned HTML need more on learning how to design graphics now what else do I need? Where do I go from here. I know Im rambling on so sorry about that. Basically I know I have a lot to learn to be succesful in the adult industry. I like doing galleries, free sites and what not but would like to do much more then that and I know that requires a lot more knowledge then I have right now. Which is why Im here hoping to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you all who read this and I patienly await everyones response. Ill stop blabbering now |waves|

I must admit that I attended my first onthebench on Saturday and found it very useful and interesting. I shall definitely be trying to attend more of them in future.

If you're new to Photoshop, I recommend going down to your local bookstore and grabbing a Photoshop tutorial book (like the simple ones that teach you PS in 48 hours).

If you're on a budget, there are many many photoshop tutorial links out there (type "photoshop tutorials" in Google).

You'll find easy step by step tutorials on various graphic design elements, and such.

http://www.good-tutorials.com/ - HUGE Photoshop database with lots of decent tutorials

http://www.teamphotoshop.com/ - If you go to the forums, the guys there are pretty friendly and are willing to help you out on any tutorial. If you see an image on the Internet that looks pretty cool, but don't know how it was made, the guys at TP will help you out.
