Friday January 12th (aka Our President Is An Asshole)

Morning! |waves|

"Shithole countries"?! Really?? WTF is wrong with this asshole?? |angry|

Well, yesterday was interesting. Short Story: New agonising pain in my lower back.

Long Story: Woke up with my lower back hurting more than normal, but then I sat & worked for a couple hours & didn't think much of it until I had to run to the grocery store. It just started to hurt more & more & it got so bad at the store, it took my breath away. I'd have fallen over if I was not pushing a cart. So I called my chiro right away & she was kind enough to squeeze me in. Turns out I have "acute sacroiliac joint restrictions". There are two sacroiliac joints in your lower back, and they sit on each side of your spine. Their main job is to carry the weight of your upper body when you stand or walk and shift that load to your legs. She said the one on my right basically "locked up". I have no idea how this happened, but she said I probably just slept wrong. It is easily the 2nd worst pain I have ever felt in my life (the worst being the 48 hours before I had my 1st neck/spine surgery). I'm basically fine if I'm sitting & I had no problem sleeping, actually waking up this morning & thinking everything was back to normal before getting out of bed & instantly being in agony |cry| I have a follow-up appt with her this morning, because she said that once the joint locks up, it tends to repeat itself for the next few days |banghead|

Needless to say, with all that going on, as well as taking my stepdaughter to pick up her brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee (she's so happy & I'm extremely proud of her) I got very little work done. So, today's goal is to get caught up...and try to stay off my feet!

I have had issue with sacroiliitis, inflamation of the tissue at that joint. Yes, the most painful thing I have ever experienced. It would put me on my knees.

Good Morning :)

Greenie, I understand that scenario thou I have something different. What helped me, and it sounds like it may help you, is my chiro said to build up the core muscles to counter issues. He showed me how to do a simple plank, elbows and toes with ass slightly up, and this helped immensely. In the beginning I could only stay up for 15 seconds at a time, that's how bad I was, but built that up all the way to 2 minutes. I sorta stopped after a family emergency a couple years back but I can still do a minute so not too bad thou I need to start again as there has been more small flair ups recently. Ask your chiro about this!

As for our President, stop picking on the man. He's, like, really smart and a stable genius with the best hair and greatest tan :D

Now, as for myself, I don't have to chauffeur my wife around for a couple of days and the sun is shining so I'll be doing some biz stuff mixed in with house stuff, hooray!

Enjoy your Friday!

I just came from there. She put me on the table that oscillates/stretches me & applied heat. Then I went into the cryo machine for 3 min of -140°F (-96°C) fun! It's still hurting, but not nearly as bad as when I got in the machine |thumb

We're old, that's for sure. I feel you, I've just been through the same hell for three weeks. It's about to go away now, or at least I hope so.
What JR suggested will be my medicine as soon as I'm able to do those exercises...

We've got some snow here, now, enough for the dog to enjoy. It seems like it will stay for a little while too! Which is good. (Either it stays, or it stays away. The middle here/not here thing is just annoying)

Will work for some hours. I'm getting things back on track.

It's good to know there are Americans who sees the same thing as the rest of us do.
A big pile of poop, with mouth...

Have a great Friday and Weekend

I always just shake my head at such things. So, Jolly, when are you moving to 'Murica? You know they really want more Norwegians there. Me? I am never going back. Ever. I am just so glad I have a president I can be very proud of.

Hey, I know one Norwegian that would probably LOVE to go to the US, if they will let him out of prison, that is. Of course, he would have to give up that cushy suite at Telemark. Then again, I know he is very unhappy with his solitary life. Yeah, I think he would get along quite well with 45. (no, neither one gets names.. )
