Can some of you affiliate program owners....

….update the back-end of your fucking sites?

I'm not talking about the pay sites. I'm talking about the affiliate program site itself.

I was just updating and logging into all the programs that STILL owe me money (113 affiliate programs which represent $5,000+ in payments that I am owed, that I have not met the bullshit minimum for yet. But don't get me started on that shit.)

Nothing is more discouraging then logging into a program that STILL OWES ME MONEY and seeing "Epassorte Payments just went out!".
Or "Latest News" and the date is sometime in 2011, 2010 or later.
WTF?
These programs are still active and I am still pushing them in some way, trying to meet my minimum so I can get my fucking check.

Is it really such a hardship to update the dashboard of the program with some current news, state of the program or just a date in the current year?

Let your affiliates know that you care at least a little bit.

Also answer a fucking email when I send you one. Don't avoid me because you owe me money and I'm looking to get a check after and years of sending your program traffic.

Are you sure they are still active?

some just seem to be "dead"...

a zombie backend is often the least of my worries.

but I know what you mean.

Dr Bizzaro 2012-03-29 09:37 PM

Yeah they are still recording stats and an occasional sale.

If you’re going to close a program, shut the whole affiliate program down. Or at least make one last post saying it’s closed, when I log in.

Very well said.

You're so fucking right...

If they don't care about their affiliates, what makes you think they care about their customers? It takes so very little time to update this kind of information but it is so valuable to the webmaster. So sad...

Yes there's a lot of programs that I fall under the minimum too. Frustrating as hell for sure.

Not to toot our own horn but we did make an exception for you Doc B. Many times that same request has been denied too.

First time for everything :)

Yes you did and I appreciate it.
DTI and about 20 other programs were very understanding and accommodating.
They answered emails and worked something out with me. That’s how to run a great business.
Kudos and thanks again.

Unfortunately that type of behavior only happens (according to my own personal results) less than 20% of the time.
A few of the programs I still had Epassporte listed as my payment or no W-9 on file. So as soon as I made the changes a payment was sent.
So that probably knocks the number down to about 13 or 12 %.

On top of that 11 companies closed owing me money too. Some of which were “in the process of paying” me. Fucking scumbags.

Now I seem to be contacting the same companies over and over requesting my money, but I am just under the minimum.
That minimum should only be in effect for a year on any sales. Then a check should be cut, no matter what.
I have programs that have owed me money since 2007, but won’t pay because I am under the minimum.

Then I try to push them and they still don’t sell so then I lose traffic.

The whole thing is very frustrating.
