Can you send me the info, too? I have no money, so I won't be buying it, but I am curious how much you're asking & how much traffic is still gets 4 years later.

You have my word I'll keep it to myself |shake|

Hi everyone - I thought I'd start by taking advantage of this elderly thread to make a side comment.

I had been with Colo-cation and chris davies for many years - was surprised to find myself at mojo, but, went along with it.

At a certain point something happened to me not unlike what is being described here with Tommy. I was involved with some heavy stressy project, money was tight, and I lost track of things and one day discovered that my sites were down.

Then, here's the shocker.

Mojo had not just suspended the sites, they had deleted them. With no backups. After a month - I think it was a month - shortfall. (I had been getting a discount by paying a year in advance. I would have switched to monthly - but like I said, lost track of things. My bad, definitely. Still, I was shocked and dismayed when I realized what had happened and that I had no recourse, no recovery was possible.)

Everything was gone unless I went back to the old copies of the sites stored in an old hard drive and restored bits and pieces of things.

Yeah I know we all got sad stories, lol. But that's mine, and why my old network of sites was suddenly gone withoiut notice.

Say what? You have no idea who I am? Yeah, it has been a while.

Well that sucks Bill :(

MOJO is usually better than that from what I have experienced and heard about them.

But it would definitely suck to wake up one morning and have my sites gone. I do my own backups but not nearly often enough, but then again my money sites are all cam affiliates so they are just a structure that gets filled by the clients xml data so they do not change all that often.

I think they probably are - better than that usually, that is.

I think it was a peculiarity of the way mojo was holding the colo-cation sites.

Chris had colo set up with a control system of his own making. It served well enough for the old style of sites, everything done in html or simple wrdpress or scripted builds like linklists. But because the thing was so durable and relatively hack resistant, I think he was backing up less frequently, and his backups were destructive - the new baclup wrote over the old, and he didn't keep that many stored backups.

I think I was out of touch long enough that as the backups wrote over the last ones - the backups with my stored account on them were written over by backups in which my account had been deleted.

That was what was implied to me as I was talking with mojo. I pressed them to look for any possible backup - no joy. At a certain point I just shrugged and deciided that was that.

What's funny is I am still getting regular checks from old cam affiliate companies and customers I sold from that old network. Talk about customer retention - dayum!
