It Really Does Pay To Ask!

Last week, Tommy asked if you can merge old CCBill accounts and since I had personally done it about 2 years ago, I replied with info from my experience.  Our good friend Tickler then posted a tip that made me scratch my head: "you have to tell them to move the $$$s over also".

Seeing as I was a dummy when I 1st signed up to CCBill programs, I never merged them and thus, I got a shitload of checks each week.  When I finally decided to merge everything, I did not know this little nugget of information & just sent over a list of all my account numbers. They merged them & everyone was happy.

But after reading that, I asked CCBill Paul to look into my old accounts & it's a good thing I did!  I'm not going to post how much money Paul recovered for me, but let's just say that Christmas will be a little bit brighter in the Greenguy house :)  Paul said that "The problem is that if there is no longer activity on an account, ie new sales, refunds etc. the funds will not be transferred over."

So if you've ever asked CCBill to merge old accounts, you might want to go back & ask them to look & see if there was any money that was not transferred over.
