A Note From ASACP!
The
Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is the only
organization working with the adult business community to spread the word to
the community and government agencies that child sexual abuse is not tolerated
by this industry and to develop a free voluntary labeling system for sites to
use.
Sponsors provide the most important means of support and program
development to ASACP. To maintain our quality services, it's important to add
new contributors to our organization.
ASACP Sponsors such as
Hustler, Wicked Pictures, AVN, XBIZ and Adam and Eve http://www.asacp.org/sponsors.php help by:
Providing an online CP reporting hotline for both surfers and
webmasters to report suspected child pornography. This hotline receives
thousands of reports every month.
ASACP investigates each report and determines the hosting,
billing, IP address, ownership, and linkage of suspected CP sites. ASACP
forwards these Red Flag reports to the appropriate governmental agencies and
associations: including the FBI, the National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children, and European hotlines.
ASACP's Approved Sponsor program, offers a model of effective
self-regulation for the online adult industry. Approved Sponsor sites are
required to comply with our Code of Ethics as well as our Best Practices.
Through the help of our sponsors, ASACP created the RTA ("Restricted to Adults") label. The
award-winning RTA demonstrates the adult industry's voluntary commitment in
helping parents prevent minors from viewing age-inappropriate content. Please
take a look at the press conference highlights at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAykPlyFMT8.
ASACP works to educate and inform its sponsors, the online adult
industry, government policy makers, and the public about issues related to
child protection, illegal online activities, and the efforts of the online
adult industry to battle child sexual abuse.
From
its start in 1996 right up to today, ASACP would not exist without the adult
industry’s support.
