Vegas 2006 - Who's going?
Vegas is creeping up & like we did last year, we want to get a list together of who from the board is going to be there & whatnot.

So if you're going, please post where you are staying & the dates & I'll get the list together & post it online with printable versions like last year.

If you are having a party, DO NOT POST THE INFO HERE. Send me a PM with the info & I'll get it listed on the Party area of the page.

And let's not turn this into a Spam fest - don't go on about a new program that you're opening or that you'll be there with the rest of your programs crews & whatnot. We just want to get a list together as far as who from the board will be there so people cam make some networking & drinking plans

dareutwo Wins Super Bowl Contest!!!!!!
Our cute little Super Bowl Contest started out with 20 people wishing & praying that they could win a trip to Buffalo this coming February.

Twelve agonizing week later, dareutwo proved to everyone that he is the master when it comes to this particular silly contest!

dareutwo has won $500 for travel expenses, a ride to & from the Buffalo Airport, my spare bedroom for the weekend & a lot of partying & poker playing.

Catch Interest With Headlines (Part 3)

Anchor Article Text To The Section Header
One of Web designers' biggest complaints is how ugly standard header text looks.

How about the size of that all-important H1 tag? It seems more suited to announcing big events like "WAR OVER" than introducing more mundane matters like "Sale Items" and "How To Order."

Fortunately, you can control that display with the CSS properties we just discussed in the last newsletter (font-size, font-family, and color) and can use the "margin" and "padding" properties to control the space that browsers automatically add underneath header text.

Always remove extra spaces below the headers so the text looks like it "belongs" with the headline. This is particularly important when you include a "blurb" or text that briefly describes article content.

We can create a more attractive display by added some CSS properties to the header text and creating a class called "underheader" to apply to each paragraph that appears immediately below header text.

More on Headlines next newsletter.

Have a Great Day!
