Greenguy & Jim's 2005-2006 Super Bowl Contest!
Once again, we will fly the winner into Buffalo, NY for a private Super Bowl party at Greenguy's house on February 5th 2006!

Jim will probably be there (he has dogs) as well as MrMaryLou & probably a few others.

The winner will receive $500 for travel expenses, a ride to & from the airport (if necessary), a bed in our spare room and we'll of course be partying all weekend

In order to determine the winner, we've decided to start a "Win & You Go On" Pool - here's how it works: ....and please, don't enter if you can't make the trip

1 - Send all picks via the board's Private Message system.
2 - Each week, you must pick one team to win their game (no spread)
3 - Once you pick a team, you can not pick them again for the rest of the season (meaning that if you pick Arizona to beat St Louis in week 1, you can never pick Arizona again)
4 - If your team wins, you go onto the next week. If your team looses, you are out of the contest. Ties count as a win.
5 - You must Private Message us your pick before Noon EST on the Saturday before the games. If we do not have your pick by Noon, you are out of the contest. If there is a Thursday or Saturday game, your pick must be in before Noon the day before the game & only if you plan on picking from those games. (Meaning that if you plan on picking the Oakland/New England game for Week 1, you must have your pick in by Noon Sept 7th. If you are not picking that game, your pick for Week 1 is due by Noon Sept 10)
6 - Last contestant remaining will win the contest.
7 - In the event there is a tie at the end of the contest (after Week 17), we will randomly draw a winner from those that are in the tie. If there is a tie before Week 17, we will extend the contest until we have one winner or until the end of the season. (meaning if in Week 15 there are 4 people left & all 4 loose, they will go again in Week 16)
8 - Only one entry per registered board member (only Jim, Greenguy & MrMaryLou are officially excluded) & you must have 400 posts before August 17th in order to enter the contest. Registration ends at Noon EDT on Sept 7 2005.

The official page is located here: http://www.greenguysboard.com/pools/05superbowl.html

If your name is on the list & you'd like to enter the contest, please send me a Private Message via this link.

Protect Your Page Rank (Part 2)
Generally, pages with high link popularity have higher Page Rank (PR) scores. But not always: link popularity is also factored in with link importance. When larger, more popular sites link to you, your overall PR score rises accordingly.

The Link Address Counts
When you offer to trade links with another site, it's a good idea to include the exact HTML code with link text inside the email message. This gives the webmaster a painless way to quickly cut-and-paste your link into his or her code. It also gives you some control over the link text and the opportunity to include your targeted keywords inside the link text.

More on Page Rank coming next newsletter...

Have a Great Day!
