Happy 4th Of July
Happy 4th of July to our American friends. I will be at Greenguy's from tomorrow until the 4th...hence, the early and semi condensed newsletter :)

Have a great weekend.

PussyCash is sending 100 webmasters to Internext!
From July 1st-31st, PussyCash is running an exciting new campaign in honor of ImLive's 2nd birthday on August 1st and PussyCash being the sole registration sponsor at Internext, 2004.

The top 100 promoters of ImLive.com in July will all get $200 for a flight to Florida, an Internext Expo pass worth $150 and an exclusive invitation to the PussyCash party worth $150. That's a total package of $500 each! PLUS, of those 100 winners, the 25 webmasters with the most signups to ImLive.com will also get two nights at the Westin Diplomat Hotel worth $400, for a total package of $900 each!

Altogether, PussyCash is giving 100 affiliates a GRAND TOTAL OF $60,000 in expenses paid to go to Internext! It only goes to show, PussyCash is serious about their motto of mixing business with pleasure, every chance they get.

Where Will Your Traffic Come From? (Part 4)

Reviewing and updating your pages
When you have your keywords, key phrases, titles and descriptions ready, it's time to insert them into every significant page of your site.

First, you need to incorporate these elements into the "meta tags". These tags, which aren't visible to visitors, are used heavily by several of the major search engines.

Also, make sure that the text of each page includes the main keywords again - but don't spam - that is, repeat them incessantly. At best, the search engines will ignore more than about 7 occurrences of each word, at worst they may even exclude your site.

While you are reviewing your Web site pages, look for any hidden roadblocks for the search engines that you may have unwittingly introduced. These can include:

* Frames: the separation of the screen into different sections. Several search engines will not go inside these.
* Java: a programming language used to create "cool" animation effects, and other applications on your site - again, the search engines will not work with Java script.
* Images: pages that contain only graphics with no text, (even if words are part of the graphic) will be passed over by the search engines unless you include alternative text tags for the images.
Note: there are big differences between the various search engines as to what and how they will index.

Note: A friend sent me a 6 page document on goals and Search Engine Optimization. Obviously, it is too long for the newsletter so I will give it to you in separate parts. Stay tuned for Part 5 :)

Have a Great Day!
Greenguy and Jim
