I have finally caught up with our resources. I have been going through all of them to make sure they are still up to snuff
But, since I am caught up, get over to our resource section

New Link O'Rama Rules

I added 2 new rules to the Link O'Rama today.
23. Your site has to look decent at 800x600 - if I have to scroll to the right to see the entire page or things just look "off", it will be declined.
24. No sites with counters will be listed. Get some stats on your server.
#23 is common sense & is actually put in place to benefit you as well as me. No one likes to look at shitty sites.
#24 is, well, a sign of the times
Now, with the no counter rule - we will be going thru sites starting on July 19th (over 3 weeks from now) & sites that are currently listed & have counters will be pulled at that time.

We've all met the person who boasts of "millions of hits a day" on his Web site, and maybe we felt a little envious. But let's debunk the hype . . . .
It's important to distinguish between individual visitors, and "hits". The latter refers to every piece of your site that is downloaded, and this includes all graphics files separately. Thus, one visitor viewing your home page, which contains text and four images, will generate five "hits". If that visitor explores your site further, he or she will generate more hits, but it's still the same user.
You want to ask yourself whether you want every visitor that you can get - which could be thousands of indiscriminate, unqualified people, or whether you would prefer 200 highly qualified decision makers per day, looking for exactly what you provide.
There are no right or wrong answers, but you should have goals for the volume and quality of traffic that you would like, so you can measure results (more on this later!)
