NHL PLayoffs Internext Contest Finalized & Updated
As most of you know, at 6:30 PM EDT Wednesday night Greenguy finalized the entries & 1st round picks for our NHL Playoffs/Internext Contest.
He did get about 4 more entries after the deadline, but the rules stated that he had to have all the entries by 6:30 so those entries were not let into the contest.
He has also updated the page to show the status of the series - meaning, looking at his "shits & giggles" picks, you'll see:

New Jersey
Toronto

St Louis
Vancouver (1-0)
Colorado (1-0)
& will do so each morning after the games. This is to help those of you that don't follow hockey too much
For those of you that missed this contest, everyone is eligible to enter the NBA Playoffs portion of the contest. The NBA Regular Season ends April 14th so I will have the match-up's online by the morning of the 15th & you will have until 1/2 hour before the start of the 1st game on the 17th to get your picks in.
We suggest you do not wait until the 17th to send in your selection

Hiring Someone for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
I have to admit, when people started claiming they were experts on SEO, I always thought of them as "Snake Oil" salesmen. I always thought that if they were truly experts in the SEO field, why not just do it for themselves?
Recently, I have gained a brand new respect for people that work pages for the best Search Engine Placement. But, there are still a lot of "Snake Oil" salesmen out there. Here are a few examples Google sent to me a few weeks ago and are available online.
Be wary of SEO firms that send you email out of the blue
"Dear google.com,
I visited your website and noticed that you are not listed in most of the major search engines and directories..."
Reserve the same skepticism for unsolicited email about search engines as you do for "burn fat at night" diet pills or requests to help transfer funds from deposed dictators.
No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google
Beware of SEO's that claim to guarantee rankings, or that claim a "special relationship" with Google, or that claim to have a "priority submit" to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the only way to submit a site to Google directly is by using the page at http://www.google.com/addurl.html. You can do this yourself at no cost whatsoever.
