Backing Up, Again :)
It seems that we really never think about backing up our Hard Drives until either one of ours fails or we hear about someone else having the problem.
This week, Greenguy had what we all fear but are never ready for...A Hard Drive Failure. Believe me, Greenguy has had his share of Hard Drive problems these last few months. While he did everything you are supposed to do, and more...he was not ready for this last time.
So, while keeping a copy of everything is a huge pain in the ass, keeping copies of things you can't do without or replace isn't really that difficult. A couple of times/day, I copy my most important files to a different PC in my network. The only reason I have this machine is just in case something happens with my main PC. While it may seem a bit extreme, I know if something happens with my main Hard Drive, I will not lose anything that I can't replace. It really does make me sleep better at night.
I know there are easier and cheaper ways of doing this but my way works for me :) All I can tell you, is backup your data as much as possible the best way you know.
Have a Good Day
