Creating Your First Table
Once again, I am going to attempt to put some code in the newsletter. In the past, some email clients can't read it. If you have that problem, just click HERE to view the newsletter.

The easiest way to create a table is the same way that your Word processor creates one. You need to determine how many rows and columns you need in your table, and then build it row by row.

Let's build a 3 column by 3 row table.

The table tag
So, you start out wanting to build a table. Tell that to the browser:
<table>

The first row
Then, for every row, you need to tell the browser that you want a new row to start:
<tr>

The first columns
Finally, in that row, you need three columns. Don't forget to end your columns with the </td> tag.
<td>Row 1 Column 1</td>
<td>Row 1 Column 2</td>
<td>Row 1 Column 3</td>

You should also end your rows with the </tr> tag. Some browsers don't need it, but you want your page to be compatible with the most people, right?
</tr>

Then you have your first row!. Repeat it twice more for your 3 x 3 table:
<tr>
<td>Row 2 Column 1</td>
<td>Row 2 Column 2</td>
<td>Row 2 Column 3</td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td>Row 3 Column 1</td>
<td>Row 3 Column 2</td>
<td>Row 3 Column 3</td>
</tr>

Finally, you should always remember to end your tables. Again, some browsers don't require it, but other browsers will show a blank page without the final </table> which can be very disheartening after all the work you've done to create the table.
</table>

The Finished Table
This HTML will result in a table that looks like this:

Row 1 Column 1 Row 1 Column 2 Row 1 Column 3
Row 2 Column 1 Row 2 Column 2 Row 2 Column 3
Row 3 Column 1 Row 3 Column 2 Row 3 Column 3

The only thing I added was the "border" attribute, so that the rows and columns would be clearly defined.

Have a Great Day
