We're taking my oldest step-daughter out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Her restaurant of choice: SONIC

The Belgian footbal (soccer) team is playing it's last friendly game in 2 hours before they head off to France for the European Championship. Guess that'll be my main source of entertainment for today.

Ooohhh... I love Sonic!!! Miss them, too. Just about every small town in Texas has one too.

I did some of the housework yesterday while the Husband was out of town. I am not interested in doing more now. MIL will be here on Thursday -- Wednesday will be just fine for cleaning thank you. If we clean today, we will just have to do it all over again on Wednesday! I'm just glad the husband is casual about such things too. He has a yard to mow before then too, or she will want to do that (at 71!)

Actually built and submitted 2 galleries today. Lots more I want to do, but this is a good start and leaves me time to get my other chores done, like cooking spaghetti for dinner.

Just got home from Jazz Brunch. Today is a scorching hot and muggy day so we all left early, but it was still enjoyable.

No plans for the rest of the day other than I need to clean my floors.

Back home now. Didn't get in until 1:30am due to "planned engineering works" on the Underground (London's subway).

Crazy time of year here for us... Up north in Utsjoki, the sun will not set again until late July. Here in central Finland, we have darkness for only a couple of hours. It makes it hard to sleep at times unless you have good curtains on the windows. This is my 5th summer now, and it is still very very strange to see the sky just beginning to turn light at 2am. It just barely went down around midnight!
