Actual new pretty cool GPL theme

Hi there.

I found what looks to be a pretty nice theme you wordpress guys and girls might want to check out. It is GPL and doesnt have any funky backwards base64 crap that I've seen so far, but it has some pretty cool stuff in the control panel for changing the look without tinkering with css or php. Since its GPL and not that stupid artisticlicencerequiringlinkback license, you can delete the links at the bottom. Its tricky to do, but not real bad. However, since the them is so cool, I put his/her link back up under "nerd stuff" putting him closer to the top of the page. It also seems to be 2.8 safe so far.

I mention those because they show a little mod I added to the rotating header images. They are a div container background, which you cant link with, but you can put a transparent gif in that container and link with it instead. And it works surprisingly well. If anyone uses the theme, and wants to know what to put where to get the link to work, I'll post the relevant part of the php file you need to alter. Its only one line, and you don't delete anything, just add, so its really easy. The "punk" site has the header rotating to give you an idea of how that looks.

One down side, it is trying to run a jscript file from byteforall.com in the admin mode. My guess is that its checking for updates, by I've just left it blocked with firefox/noscript. Also, the code is pretty sophisticated to allow changes to be made to the look for a lot of stuff and stored in the database so if you like hacking the php, it will be more challenging than most themes.

Hey man, I like it but that header thing....you're using sponsor images linked to sponsor? I tried it on my blog some time ago, and it looks good but I couldn't get the header right.

On all but one, I'm using square banner ads. You just make a 150x1300 image and put the images/banners in it. Then save it as a jpg in the /images/header directory and it will load itself in the page.

The tricky part (not real tricky, really) is adding the 150x900 transparent gif on top of the 150x1300 image and using it for the link.

Once I get these goth/punk/emo sites worked out, submit a few more asian free sites and TGPs and go through another round of updates on my teen sites, I'm gonna do some big boobies sites for boobalicious et al. I'll be doing a blog that will be about 90% you. Hopefully I can send some signups.

Its EASY Leroy! First, make your 1300 wide by 150 high images for the header and put them in "/your/domains/path/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header"

Next, create a 980 wide by 150 tall transparent gif called "trans.gif" and put it here: /your/domains/path/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/trans.gif"

Then, add some html as follows in the following file:
/your/domains/path/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_header_config.php

at line 209 here make this change:
old: $header_image .= '</div>';

new: $header_image .= '<a rel="nofollow" title="Sakura Live - Live Japanese chat and sex shows" href="/dti/sakura-live"><img border="0" src="/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/trans.gif" alt="Chat with a cute Japanese girl now!!" width="980" height="150"></a></div>';

If you look, all I did was insert a link to trans.gif with a link to sakura live right before the "</div>"

of couse you'll want to change the "title=" "href=" and "alt=" to suit your site. My href looks funny because it's a cloaked redirect to my Sakura Live affiliate code.

You wont see trans.gif in the browser (otherwise it wouldnt be transparent), but its there and you can save it by right clicking on the screen till you find it.
