Happy Back In Ottawa Monday
Good morning
Did the 14 hour drive home yesterday Good to be home Work planned all day then some tonight with my basketball buddies at the local pub, though we haven't been able to play basketball since March 2020 lol. is on, have a good day! Oh, see what the NFL is doing? No more Covid testing for vaccinated players Unless you feel sick, no tests being done anymore. Why? They are top athletes, more healthy than the average human being and Covid doesn't affect them. When their players get Covid, most feel nothing and NONE have had to go to the hospital so the NFL said, fuck that, we're not disrupting our business and the players livelihoods over a virus that doesn't affect them. Players like Aaron Rogers tests positive, has to miss a week then is back on the field a week later so the NFL said enough. WAY TO GO NFL |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

Morning.
Not much on the agenda today. I have to figure out how to FedEx something to my son who is in Mexico. I may drop by one of their stores. One is not too far from me. TV later today when I am done with it all. I've said this privately about COVID. If it easily mutates then all we can do is manage the speed at which everyone gets it. Vaccines of course help. In the end though, it may just be about managing the ICU and other hospital beds so everyone gets a decent chance to survive. The last thing we want is some doctor saying you get a bed and, sorry, you're done. Harsh but this may be our reality as a species. ... and on that sobering note (LOL) ... have a good one. Our government meets tomorrow to discuss the situation. They tried using COVID passports to let the bars and restaurants stay open longer and have larger events, but it isn't working. The vaccines don't prevent transmission and this new variant is extremely transmissable. The concern of our medical community is that we already have over 1/3 of the ICU beds occupied by COVID patients - mostly unvaccinated. The solution? Stay home and/or stay away from others. We will go to the In-law's on Christmas Day, but we are all vaccinated and they are freshly boostered.
I think we are going to see things evolve. If the overall majority people, like 75 to 80% of the population, are vaccinated/boostered, and it is unlikely to cause serious disease among that group, why lockdown? The unvaccinated ones need to be the group to stay home on lockdown not the majority, unless they want to deal with the consequences. I honestly do wish our country would ask the unvaccinated people to pay for their hospital stays. We have universal health care. The Helsinki University Hospital says it costs about $16,000 per COVID patient that visits the ICU. Patients pay a tiny fraction of that (under $1,000) while the taxpayers pay the rest. If you refuse to vaccinate, why should the state pay for your medical expenses? The year end push continues.. I need to get as many galleries built and on my TGPs as possible. It is a definite race against time, especially this week. It is too danged cold out right now to do much of anything anyway. -11Canadian right now (12F), going down a couple more degrees tonight. It is clear, so that could go nice and low. Last night was so cold the Cat actually slept on our bed near my feet. She has never done that before. Abolutely no snow on the ground, just very very cold. Back to the porn..

Good Morning
We actually got a over the weekend since we are gathering on Xmas eve at my house. Minimal decorations on it and some around the house and that's about it. Even with it up I'm still not feeling festive this year though I'm looking forward to the BBQ this Friday Have a doctor appt and need to run a couple of errand and this time one is the bank since my wallet is running on dry. Besides that it's a typical day of biz/tv/nap. Enjoy your Pandemic Monday! |

Strict vaccination records, no vax no admittance to a hospital for any reason.
Maybe enough anti-vaxers will die to give the rest of us a better chance when the civil war starts in 2022 |

My eyes are up here.

Oh it's Monday, look at that.
I have the house to myself today, although thankfully the cleaning lady is here. So I'll be able to get some work done, which is the plan of the day. The other plan is to go to Vegas for Internext in January, but I'm going to wait out the week as it seems Covid restrictions may be coming back into effect. Fingers crossed, because I really want to go.

Good afternoon
Visited my doctor to remove something from my inner lip, it's probably a harmless little lump. We're going to clean out my storage, so I'm busy with sorting stuff there. Other than that, taking it easy tonight. Long days ahead Take care Jlly |
