Wednesday April 17th (aka Last Time I'll Bring This Up - I SWEAR!)

25 years ago today I went to the best concert I've ever seen

Yesterday while I was waiting for the ASSIL to get out of his appt downtown, I read an article in XBIZ by Juicy Jay about distractions while working & how much time they eat up. He talked about Deep Work, which I call being in "the zone", where your focused & concentrating on work & actually accomplishing something, but when you get distracted, it usually takes about 20 minutes to get back into "the zone". The board has always been a distraction* and Social Media has been for 10 or so years. I doubt either of those 2 would go away if I worked in an office. But working at home...The Bitch, my mom, the dogs, the ASSIL - all major distractions. Based on the 20 minute thing, I'd bet my mom costs me 2-3 hours of work/day. It's no wonder I never get anything done!
*Technically work, but I do fuck off on here a lot

Speaking of working from home, The Bitch's boss told her yesterday afternoon that they want her to work from home again today

It's one thing if I know in advance that she'll need my office, but I have to work today. We just spent about an hour setting her up in the spareroom

ASSIL run & the grocery store is having a Buy 2 Get 4 sale on Diet Mountain Dew, so time to stock up...maybe there's a sale on Michelob Ultra, too
