Morning!

Started getting my shit in order for the biz & personal taxes. The companies will be a breeze compared to our personal due to buying the new house & going solar. Not that I have to figure any of it out, but when I hand the shoebox full of receipts & notes to my accountant, I want to make sure everything's in there

I don't think I need to leave the house today, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I'm awake because Kisses, my ex-wife's dog, was moaning in her sleep. Now, she and I are posted on the couch, watching YouTube videos while the coffee brews. I will eventually lie down here and fall back to sleep. That seems to be how my body works.

No taxes here. I have't received my W-2 yet. It would be awfully nice if they'd send them. A good tax return could feasibly give me another month of sitting on my ass.

Working on an overhaul of a mainstream site today. It's quiet here and gently snowing outside -- nice for working.

Woke up to see Betty White's name trending on Twitter. Of course I thought she'd kicked the bucket but turns out she's 97 today.

Had to go out in public this morning without being properly caffeinated. Had to get blood drawn. Fortunately, no one made any threatening moves so growls were minimal.

We had a good snow here last night and all day today. They even called it a blizzard and told people not to go out. Internet and TV have been spotty which makes being a porn queen difficult at times. So we didn't. The Husband and I both caught colds when we were out on Monday. He is still sound asleep while I have been up for hours. His coughing has kept me up.

I have started working on taking my language tests, but have run into a brick wall -- my ID! My passport is in my maiden name, naturally, as that was the name I had back in the US: Well, my residence permit is also in that name. Everything else, but everything, is in my married name, which according to the government is my official name. So now, I have to try to get my passport renewed and updated. It also means we have to go to Helsinki. I have to get it done. The police here will only issue ID cards in the name on my passport. Even though I have a marriage certificate that says otherwise. So, we will start in Helsinki...

I now have a nice fire going in the fireplace and I am going to go in there for a bit. Let's see how much I can do from my laptop! (Yes, I can cut thumbs!)

Good Morning

The rain continues. I know those of you in foreign lands and on the east are use to this but this only happens once or twice a year here so it just seems to throw things off. It's not like I was going anywhere it just makes me think twice about doing so.

I think this piddly biz crap to do list I have will last for a few months at this rate and especially when weather is better and I'm outside working. Hoping that after all this it will help but probably not.

It's supposed to get into the low 30s and windy here over the weekend. No snow forecast, but the natives will be dressing like Nanook.

The Houston Marathon is tomorrow, should be interesting in the forecast conditions.
