They did carry the first run of shows before they went on hiatus. Spooked a lot of children so you're not alone
Then they fired it back up in 2005, this is when I started watching, on BBC America. I'll admit that the Weeping Angels give me the heebie jeebies sometimes.

The good part is you don't have to get caught up and it looks like D+ deal is from this point forward so you shouldn't be tempted
These special are different to get viewership back, my opinion, before the new Dr enters and then it'll move forward like normal and will much easier to follow along, hopefully.
