I have about 10 right now, some are mega sponsors with a dozen or more sites, some are single sites. I'm concentrating on 3 niches and I chose each sponsor in part because they cover a niche or they have good free content, or both.

Teen is easy. My sponsors there have good tools and lots of free content. Asian is a little less so, but still not bad. Goth is a little harder. There isnt a lot of sponsor content available, and two of the sites (suicide girls and god's girls) have little to none AND really restrict the words and pictures you can use on any page advertising their site.

I wanted to have suicide girls because of the name recognition, but I can't quite figure out how to advertise them. The same with GodsGirls. I also wanted to do some mild artistic softcore because I get sick of looking at hardcore all day. Right now I'm just using their banners on a blog, and I'm using the most softcore images of other sponsors (with those images specifically advertising their sponsor) to feed the blog. I wish they had better tools so I could limit the site to just those two sponsors.

Two blogs are written around single sponsors, but in both cases I've had to incorporate RSS feeds from other sponsors because the main one either didnt have any or the ones they have dont work with feedcache.

In one case, I chose a sponsor simply because their hosted video is a perfect match for blogs, being the correct size and easy to intergrate and lots of them.

For you, Jacklyn, it would probably be a little easier since you have your own content. I think in your case I'd limit the sponsors more and specifically go for the niche stuff you do (which is "babe" if I'm not mistaken.)

I know this probably didnt answer your question, but maybe it showed you a reason why you might use more sponsors rather than less in some cases.
