I think I explained how I stopped enjoying Star Wars in a previous thread. Ep1-2 was just to bad, IMO.

So what I liked was to see how the movies are back on track.
If it wasn't for my friend who wanted company, I would probably not have seen it. So I downloaded Force Awakens and Rogue 1 to get up to speed and make it possible to enjoy Last Jedi.

You know, in Rogue 1, how everything can be solved by reaching that *one* switch? Just for the sake of it placed in a very odd and not especially strategic place?
These things put me off and Last Jedi had some of them too.

I agree on the Casino, but for me it was more a throwback to the extremely boring, and lengthy, Casino-scene in Casino Royal (Bond. This scene totally wrecked a good Bond-movie).

The Codebreaker was just to much. Destroyed a lot and although I didn't think of it the same way as you, I totally agree.
The Rich vs Poor and how the 0.1 percent is stinky rich because of the suffering from the rest of us is just political statements that doesn't belong in entertainment like this. And when Laura Dern does her move a minute later, why doesn't we get to enjoy the horrible death of this prick?
Probably because he had served his political statement purpose and was out of the movie.
The casino scene in general was misplaced IMO.

When you got Jedi-skills and can do cool stuff like the Darth Vader choke thing and move a mountain of rocks, how can you nearly lose a battle with some lousy, although well-trained, guards?
It destroys it a bit for me. And yes, when they were in front of Snopes I actually thought "here we go again".

So it sounds like I didn't like it after all, but I did.

What I liked the most though was to see Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Laura Dern shine as actors.
Luke Skywalkers Bad Ass (Punisher like) behavior towards the end was really good and a good twist.

In Rogue One I was glad to see that the Storm Troopers had improved their aim. I do not support Troopers, but they should be able to shoot a bit better than in previous movies
Although they still move in groups in a way that a single grenade can take out a Battalion.

So, there's my answer
