Not sure if you know this already, but I'll risk offending your intelligence anyway!
In Movie Maker you can specify the size of the saved file.
Once the file is edited:
Tasks.....Save to my computer....check the "Best to fit file size" and pick a size by adjusting the KB/MB and using the up & down arrows.
I try and keep movies to under 1MB.
Does anyone know a way of protecting .wmv files from being hotlinked using .htaccess, or is it impossible? Can you protect ANY movie files using .htaccess?
