Blog Toplist

Hi all,

Out of frustration, I created a blog Toplist: http://www.penissizelinks.com/sexblogtoplist/. I looked and looked for a place I could list my site and never found anything, or was rejected.

I'm looking for blogs that are regularly updated by real writers expressing their own personal thoughts about sex. If you write a "porn blog" that's mostly just an affiliate mechanism, I would definitely consider it if you actually write some commentary. For instance, I would accept Stileproject.

I would like to build up a nice collection of well-written and regularly updated sex blogs. So this is a set it and forget it type thing. No messing with feeds, just put the toplist button (or link) next to your recent post area, and you get traffic forever. And good traffic. Readers who are interested in the kind of stuff you're writing.

The toplist updates once a day, so the idea is if someone writes a good post, gets good traffic, their position on the toplist will improve and they will get more traffic. How do they get the original traffic? That's the magic of blogs. You have a built-in audience from feeds and repeat visitors. The feed, plus toplist mechanism, will create exponentially more traffic. In addition, the toplist will allow sex blogs to share their audience. A toplist is a good traffic mechanism for a blog because on days where you don't update, you share your traffic. On days when you do update, that traffic will probably come back to you.

And one more thing, I'm allowing banners as large as 500 x 200. This means that you can easily create a stunning visual that will grab visitors from any position. With such a large banner you can also easily create a brand identity for you blog. You will host the banners on your own server so that you can change them to announce new blogs or changes or whatever. Maybe in the future I'll make the max bigger if things work out.

I arrived on this idea because I love toplists. I've always thought they provided great traffic and are useful for surfers. I run a single website and it's more of a hobby than anything - although I've been spending way too much time on it lately. My site (http://www.penissizelinks.com) skirts the line between the typical adult sites and more mainstream sites so it's always been tough for me to get listings. My site currently gets about 1000 uniques a day. I haven't linked to my own toplist yet, but will do so in a day or so (or maybe when I get some sites on there). When I do link, it will be heavily promoted on my blog. I have to approve submissions, so as soon as I get something, I'll open the floodgates. I promise it won't be one-sided.

The toplist *is* under my blog's domain, but I figure I need to get something out of it. I'm not going to add any advertising whatsoever for the life of the toplist. I would like it to simply serve as a traffic exchange. I have put a tiny "Sponsored by" link at the bottom, but that's it - just so people know where the Toplist is coming from. For the average surfer, I doubt they'll notice the URL isn't a top level. (Hopefully Googlebot will notice.))

If you made it all the way through this post, thanks for reading. And thanks for visiting http://www.penissizelinks.com/sexblogtoplist/
