This kind of thing can make one more than a little nervous when a major player all of a sudden pulls $1.3 billion. |whisper|

PepsiCo sent shockwaves through the carbonated beverage industry Monday when the multibillion dollar corporation announced that it would cease all advertising of its popular soda product, effective immediately.

Given that the source, The Onion, is a parody publication, I would hope that no one read it and applied any seriousness credibility to it - now that would be funny.

lol - it would be utterly insane for a company like Pepsi to stop advertising.

MOSTLY? try 100% lol

All they do is take "real stories" and write up parody stories for them, kind of like http://www.whitehouse.org (sadly the owners of that site have not bothered to keep it up to date since Bush left :( )

Oddly enough if anyone reads the Pepsi article they would KNOW it was 100% FAKE.....

"We know it's good, and everyone's pretty happy with the overall taste, so why spend all our time worrying about what other people think?"

"Frankly, it just feels sort of weird and desperate to put all this energy into telling people what to drink. If they don't like it, then they don't like it."

Added Nooyi, "That's not really any of our business anyway."

"Look, Coca-Cola is a terrific product," Nooyi continued. "Millions of people choose it over Pepsi every day. Are those people wrong? Of course not. Concepts like 'right' and 'wrong' shouldn't even apply. It's a soft drink."

and it goes on and on lol

If only the Onion were real news...the world would be a much better place...:)If that were true, it would probably be the law for everyone to wear mustache, nose, and glasses. |loony|
