Does anyone know a way to paste into mutiple fiolders at once ?
like pasting an index.html into 100 folders at one time
I always like to ask this stuff cause I am sure these posts help hundreds of webmasters .. not just me :-)

Or you could use the automator app and create a self-exec script or a finder plugin (if you're on mac of course)

if you are on linux server, use this shell script
#! /bin/sh
for dir in /home/fiolder/* ; do
if test -d $dir ; then
cp -f /pathto/index.html $dir
fi
done

I'm such a DOS geek. I just realized that I've been writing batch files for over half of my life :(
Either using the command prompt and CD to where all the directories are located or create a file in that location with the extension of .bat (like tommy.bat)
Then use the line below. Change the \index.html to the location of the file.
for /D %a in (*) DO xcopy \index.html %a
If you want to copy all the files in a directory such as index.html and the images directory that goes along with it. Swap out the \index with the directory name such as \template and add a /s at the end.
for /D %a in (*) DO xcopy \template %a /s
