After 9 years, finally won a webmaster giveaway - for $1000 - woohoo

[Bill]

Nice surprise to wake up to - took me long enough, hahaha!

I NEVER pay any attention to these contests.

It looks like a real letter - I'll believe it when I see the thousand bucks.

---------------
Dear Webmaster,

You have been drawn in the brand new contest of AWEmpire.com's:

I like it when numbers are all one digit going on forever* and you've won an average of $111.111.../year at this point.

Yes, I know it doesn't really 'go' anywhere since it's a static object that already has all the 1's.

[sue-fl]

Congratulations |bananna|

Congratulations Bill
You know, over the years, I have given away a lot. But have never won a thing.

[WildChyld]

I'll give you a hug if you'd like Jim.
Although I'm not sure whether thats a prize or a punishment!

[Bill]

Now show me how you made those 37 sales in 2 weeks? :D

Sure, I'll jump right on that and give everybody a step-by-step plan. ;-}

I have been getting an awe payment every period for a while, but 37 is more than usual. So, really, it's just double luck. Double luck has to happen to somebody - to make up for all the triple doses of shitty luck the universe dishes out.

So far, no letter saying 'sorry, we made a mistake'. That probably comes tomorrow, hahaha.

But I won't really believe it till I have the money.

Here's the semi-cool logo included in the letter...

[Bill]

Ha! Wife talked me into checking their website - I really did win.

Fuckin' A!

[stuveltje]

WTG Bill!!|thumb

[LeRoy]

[digifan]

Sorry for the belated congrats :)

[Bill]

Woot - got the money!

cha-ching.

[hony]

I got one of those once and it was like "huh? Why?" -- I had to check their site out to find there was even a competition going. So since the whole idea of competition is to get people interested and to do more I think they missed out a step in their plan!

These days I totally ignore the competitions.

[amadman]

Nice! Congrats Bill!!|bananna|

[Jel]

Well done mate :)

[winstonDeecash]
