Ok well I have had my 404 for sometime now and was wondering how many pages would anyone recommend to put up on errors. Whats the standard for such things? 404, 401, 410, 403, 500 etc I mean the list can go on an on.

I just used the Custom Error Page Code Generator available at HTML Basix (http://www.htmlbasix.com) which lets you create a custom error page for:
Moved Permanently
Moved Temporarily
Bad Request *
Authorization Required *
Forbidden *
Not Found *
Method Not Allowed
Request Timed Out
Unsupported Media Type
Internal Server Error *
Not Implemented
Bad Gateway
Service Unavailable *
Gateway Timeout
HTTP Version Not Supported
Not many of them are used as much say as 404/401 etc, but I guess it's best to have them in place.
