Javes Open For Submissions

In preparation for Tuesday's Grand Mega Fantastic Opening, Javes is now accepting your high quality free site submissions. Standard submission rules and reciprocal links can be found at the Javes' Webmaster Page (http://javes.com/webmasters/), as well as the link to the submission form (below recips). Javes currently accepts multiple daily submissions, but reciprocal links are a must. I may be contacting a few of you to request heavy non-reciprocal submissions to a couple of categories which we anticipate to remain slim on listings without your help.(I'm looking at you MadMax, Mateusz, & Grandmascrotum ;) )

Special note: During the review process, I am especially sensitive to poor, unclear, or hidden navigation on free sites. I really don't like searching for enter and gallery links. If I have to guess which is an ad link and which is a gallery link, something is wrong. Factor in the fact that I tend to review drunk, naked, and tired, bad navigation just leads to disaster. And which one of you wants to explain to my wife why I'm signed up to thirteen gay paysites? That's what I thought.

Due to the fact that Sparky never rests, we are in the process of making a bunch of changes and doing some juggling. So, if you stumble upon a page that looks like a banner farm, we are probably doing something nifty with the script affecting that page. Don't be alarmed. You will be OK.

Just a note - I'm reviewing right now, but you may or may not receive acceptance emails because Chris is a script tweaking fool. He may have to disable certain features while playing with others. Just sleep comfortably with the assumption that your sites have been accepted. ;)

I don't really want to submit them to babes but that's where I see it fitting in so far so that's where I'm gonna put them unless you tell me different.

Very true but...if we do decide to add a new category, it is as simple as a few clicks :)

And checking the submissions, we seem to be doing very well. Keep it up guys...Right now there are a few thousand hits/day going to it but on Tuesday, I will turn on the real traffic. Get in early and get in often.

Update: We have safely passed the debugging phase where we had turned off the acceptance and rejection emails. So, beginning this morning, you should receive a quick note of acceptance or reason for decline. (And none of them include the word cocksucker)

Lingerie would include both pantyhose & stockings if they did not have categories of their own. Surfers are used to finding those type of galleries there, and lingerie sites often have those as sub categories.

"Sexy Clothing" is a webmaster catch all, not a category a surfer is going to be looking for, nor know that it includes lingerie, stockings, pantyhose etc. I won't even go into trying to teach submitters what to put in there.

Womens hosiery is usually a section within the lingerie department in most retail stores.

well, I vote for lingerie, as I do pantyhose, stockings & panties - all of which ideally would have their own cat but I know that's not really feasible most of the time...but PLEASE don't just put a pantyhose cat, I need somewhere to put my panties - insert lewd pervert comments here ;) -
(I also think that stockings are way different than pantyhose too but that's just my opinion :D )

Lingerie/Panties

This is based partially on how often my submitters *almost* get the recip right :D

Lingerie is a low submit category, so you're definitely better off combining it with something else.

Pantyhose, on the other hand, is almost synonymous with stockings, and I'll be damned if the recip is right on 30% of the sumbits I get to those cats. Probably more due to localized terminology, because in some places they do mean the same thing.

I absolutely refuse to add any more categories :D I don't want to lead Javes down the path that I lead Filthy Earl. He started with a shit load of categories and has never had the submissions to support those pages. Poor Earl

Once the current pages fill up, I'll be more than willing to break them down to sensible sub-cats and niches, but it's just not feasible at this very moment. In fact, there may be a couple of near-empty categories that disappear very soon. Bottom line - empty pages don't serve the surfer nor the submitter. Google indexes content, not great voids. Trade partners are only going to trade with pages that have content. I wouldn't be doing anyone any favors by setting up categories that Javes simply cannot support this early in the game.

JAVES does seem to be doing very well. We are getting the submissions we wanted. You will notice though...a cool little script. When you go to submit a site, there is a table titled "What we need". These are cats that need to be filled up. The category of sites we need the most is on top. You will always know what we need the most...all automatic.

I have a question, being that I have not been in the Free site building arena in a LONG time. I submitted a few sites that were rejected for having more than 3 links out (not in the rules which I did read, honest!) So, I corrected the problem and went to re-submit the sites, but it won't let me, says the URL already exists. So my question is, if a site is rejected is there no way to resubmit it?

Sorry if I sound like a newbie...LOL But as I said, I have not built free sites in a long time.

And yes, Bestat, I'm aware of this problem. I believe it's part of the script's security features. I'd certainly prefer that declined submitters be able to re-submit, otherwise - what's the point of telling them why they were declined? Right?

Currently, I see no cause to create a movie category. As submissions increase and we see many more movie based free sites, I will re-evaluate the situation. Until then, please submit movie free sites to the appropriate niche.

Assuming that your whois isn't deemed questionable, your sites are listed at a couple of the places that you listed in your recips, and the sites don't suck - I'll get you set up. http://www.javes.com/webmasters/signup.html

Make sure you fill out that form correctly. I've deleted a few applications for putting domain roots in the free site fields.
