I want to do a little clicktrcking with my sponsor links on a freesite. Is it allowed to track clicks on sponsorlinks with a script which leads to the clicktracker script?

Some linklists write in their rules they donīt want javascript code for example, but that code of my script is just similar to sponsorcodes but leads to my script first.

Shouldn't be any problems since it's nothing different than a sponsor URL :)

No, itīs just a cklicktracking script which is located on my server. I put the sponsor link on it and the script creates a code which I have to put on the site instead of the sponsor link. If the surfer clicks that link, the script counts that click and sends the surfer to the sponsor. Thatīs all.

But i was afraid somebody could think of cheating when i use this code, so I wanted to discuss it first. ;)

I've used it for ~3 years and I haven't run in to any problems at LL's or TGP's :)

I don't think thats a problem, now you know what your traffic is clicking on so you can filter your traffic better for better conversions... ;)

Though it might be more than you are looking for, phpadsnew (http://phpadsnew.com/two/) will rotate and count many different ad types. Banners, text, even FPA's if you want. And it's free.
