From: PattyeCake PattyeCake is extremely proud to announce a new project to bring joy to the hearts of children who otherwise seldom live to experience much joy in their lives with the launch of Pattye's Kids. In the tradition of Angels for Christmas, this new venture is designed to help as many children who suffer from Muscular Dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases as possible by providing the necessary funding to send them to MDA's summer camp. Since 1996, PattyeCake has been a champion in helping to bring Christmas joy to thousands of needy children with the help and generosity of this industry's community of webmasters. Due to unforeseen issues she is unable to give this project the attention it deserves. In it's place Pattye's Kids has been born. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency — a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. Children of these diseases are the most severely impacted, many do not even survive their adolescence. So what is Pattye's Kids? The goal
of this project is to send fifty children that suffer from muscular dystrophy to
MDA's summer camp each year. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these
children to for once in their short lives to feel special and be treated as
equals in society. This costs money though. To send a child to camp for a week
it costs $600.00. While there is no foreseeable cure for neuromuscular diseases, we CAN help. And we at Pattye's Kids hope you will join us. |
