To underline or not

Many of us grew up learning that if something was underlined in a book, it was an important part of the story and you made sure to read it. The same applies to a web but in a slightly different way.

A person must keep in mind that on the web, underlined text means it is a link.. or at least it should be! When you need to draw attention to specific text that is not linked, use a bold font, a different size font or another color that separates it from the rest.

Confusion to your surfers when it comes to navigation should in most cases, be kept to a minimum and having text underlined that is not linked does just that, confuses your surfer. You could easily end up unknowingly teaching your surfers to ignore underlined text in regards to it being a link and I am sure we all would agree, that is not good.

So remember, if you want certain text to stand out, do it with font changes, highlighted background spans and/or bold or italic tags. Do not underline something that is not linked someplace for the best overall page results.

Useful Tools/Options

Newest Stat Feature:
We have added a Traffic ranking feature to the stats area. This feature will allow you to see how you rank within the different program in comparison to all other participating webmasters. Here are some details of how the process works. Each day at about 4:30 AM the system looks at the last 3 days and ranks all webmasters in the program that has sent 1 unique hit or more. If your position changes, a small up/down arrow graphic will be visible next to the rank. Move your mouse over this graphic to see how many positions you gained or lost. Available also is a graph of the last 4+ weeks for the traffic ranking features. To see this option, click on the small "MY RANK" button to the left of the ranking numbers in the lower portion of your stats area and you will see the rank of the last 4+ weeks. Click that graphic again to return to the previous stats screen.

POTD Option (Improved features)
With the new and improved options, you can choose which sites are advertised, which Genre is used on the POTD, appoint it's own tracking letter as well as having the choice of with Pop-Ups or without Pop-Ups. As you can tell, you are in total control of the POTD features now!

You can locate this option by going to the stats page of the Pay It Forward program or the FMP-Free (Follow Me Free) program and choose the Tools and HTML link at the top of the page. Once there, just scroll down the page a bit to see the POTD link generation and option panel.

The TGP/LinkList Management System:
The TGP and LL management system which allows you to have your very own TGP site or linklist site without all the standard headaches of creating one from scratch has proven to be another great benefit to our CE Cash Affiliates! This time saving tool can be located within your Follow Me Free (FMP-Free) stats area under the Updates and FAQ button. There you will see a coding box that shows up below step four. This box will allow you to choose what genre you prefer and will give you the specific code for your random linking. This random linking option will rotate through all of the CE Mags (or Mini Mags in the Mag program)/XXX All Access Passes in your chosen genre and also randomly choose a cover for each one. As always, you can change the X in the linking code below to any letter A - Z. (In the Mag program, the default linking code will rotate through the full size XXX Mags unless the check box next to the coding retrieval window is checked)

The Matrix Ad Maker:
The matrix ad generator allows you to decide not only which mags, but also which covers and in what order they appear. You also have complete control over what text appears both above and below the ads and even how many mags are advertised on the page you create! To start making your own unique matrix ads today, go to the banners and HTML section of your CE Mag stats and click on the Matrix Maker link. (Read through the set up instructions completely before starting your matrix creation to avoid confusion.)
